BNSF M-PEIGAL 4-18-25

This was probably the neatest BNSF manifest out of Peoria in awhile. Notable items in the consist include:
 
- Four flatcar loads of Caterpillar equipment (two D10s, with undercarriage components on separate cars) bound for Caterpillar Japan Ltd. via the ports of Tacoma, Washington and Yokohama, Japan. 
 
- Five boxcars returning empty from Sweetener Supply Corp in Wolcott, Indiana. The first one, HKRX 6807, was on TP&W's westbound road freight to East Peoria on Wednesday (April 16). Four more - CIBX 101096, ITFX 150290, ITFX 150293 and ITFX 150345 - were the TP&W's westbound on Sunday (April 13). All are assigned to bagged salt service, probably out of Compass Minerals' Lyons, Kansas "mechanical evaporation" facility on the Kansas & Oklahoma Railroad (KO). 
 
- Also on Sunday's westbound was BNSF 646171, a steel hopper laden with iron oxide shipped from Waelz Sustainable Products' Clymers, Indiana plant. 
 
- Right behind the BNSF steel hopper is TZPR 315399, a gondola which appears to be loaded with steel ingots. I assume these came from Liberty Steel & Wire Co.

BNSF 7581 and CSXT 5492 have 63 cars (42 loads x 21 empties).

LP is planning to build a $50 million grain loading facility in Bureau County, Illinois. Media reports here and here  tells us Bartlett Grain will build on 155 acres east of Rt. 40 and north of Interstate 80 between County Roads 1700 and 1745 East. The complex, complete with a rail loop capable of loading up to 120 cars, will employ 25 to 30.  Rail service will be provided by the Union Pacific on its Peoria Subdivision, which runs from Nelson south to Barr. Union Pacific's LPD01 Derails Due to Vandals 11-18-24!

Union Pacific's LPD01 job leaves and departs Adams Street Yard in Peoria on July 1, 2024.   I hope the judge makes an example of these two clowns!   Union Pacific's LPD01 job was either going to or returning from Collier Yard to work the Keokuk Junction Railway and Toledo, Peoria & Western Railway interchanges.
